ABOUT THE PLAY:
Set near an army base in a rural town just outside of New Orleans, Feet of Clay is a present-day response to Chekhov's classic Three Sisters that explores the relationships of newly-orphaned siblings struggling to find happiness within their obligatory roles. The play also examines the lasting effects of war on both the soldiers who fought and the loved ones to whom they return.
Feet of Clay is a new play written by Stephen Louis Grush, Founding Artistic Director of XIII Pocket, and who is currently on stage in Sex with Strangers at Steppenwolf and recently appeared in Goodman Theatre's The Seagull.
The production is directed by David Perez, Founding Artistic Director of Pavement Group, who garnered rave reviews in Steppenwolf's Garage Rep last year with his production of punkplay, which ranked #3 on the Time Out list.
